Are You Bogged Mate?

The Challenge

Mary, from Are You Bogged Mate? was looking for a website that boost awareness and start a conversation with the broader community about the rising issue of depression and suicide rates among men in rural areas. Are You Bogged Mate? Is confronting the challenges that country men face on a daily basis, talking about mental health, and lighting the path to support.

It all started with an article – ‘Are you bogged mate?’ written by Mary O’Brien – which spread far and wide gaining international attention. This topic struck a chord, and highlighted that while there are services available for suicide prevention, there is a disconnect in the way depression is being communicated to country men. Mary was approached by the QLD government and Queensland Farmers Federation to run a rural men's mental health awareness program. Mary wants to fix this disconnect and jumped on board.

Why They Chose Us

Mary did a quick Google search for web designers in Toowoomba and we were top of the list! A creative, informative website that is ranked high in Google is ranked highly by Mary, so she gave us a call.

Our combination of in-house designers and programmers meant we were the ‘one-stop-shop’ for everything Mary wanted to incorporate on her website.

The Solution

Mary is a passionate advocate for agriculture and was raised on the land. She understands the diverse challenges faced by the rural sector. Mary’s personal experience with rural men helped shape the tone of the website. The website is aimed to help connect country men with support services and breakdown the stigma associated with seeking help.

Not only is the website designed to engage directly with rural men, break down the stigma around mental health, bridging the gap and directly them to the right support and to speak up for those who often wont. It was also to promote and take bookings for events as well as being able to take sponsorship donations and enquiries.

Being a heavy issue, Mary also wanted to have some light hearted sections to the website. We incorporated her theme and metaphor of bogged tractors in her initial article and provided a platform for people to upload their own pictures of tractors being bogged. Website users can scroll through submitted images for a laugh. The images also represent that you’re not the only one to get into a muddy situation.

The Outcome

We worked hard with Mary to design a fit-for-purpose website that was a great platform to start a conversation about raising awareness on the rising issue of depression and suicide amongst rural areas.

The new website is modern, user friendly and featured an easy to use donating system so people could show their support and help Mary dry up the mud and make getting out of the bog much easier for our farmers.

AgEtal

The Challenge

AgEtal is an independent agricultural research and testing laboratory the specialises in testing seed and grain. Their analysis and expertise allows you to plant and market your seed and grain with confidence. AgEtal is committed to delivering independant and accurate results in a timely manner, thus needed a platform with better, streamline process for customers to ‘Request an analysis’. The new website needed to be contemporary with a clear design, geared towards generating enquiries online.

Why They Chose Us

AgEtal believes in delivering timely results, and so do we. With our combination of in-house designers and programmers meant we were the ‘one-stop-shop’ for AgEtal. Not only could we build a brand new, contemporary website in house but we could continue working with each generating business enquiries through digital marketing. 

The Solution

To start with, we designed a new website for AgEtal that was contemporary, mobile friendly and was optimised for SEO to increase organic ranking on Google. The online ‘Request for Analysis’ form was a really important part of their website. They wanted to create a streamline way for customers to access the forms and for them to receive the forms online. We created a form that could be used online and also have the ability to be printed if people prefer to fill the form out by hand.

Finally, to ensure customers knew exactly want tests or analysis they needed, we created informative pages for each of tests they offer. This provides customers with really useful information like what’s involved in the test, reasons for the analysis, what seed or grain it’s most suitable for, the price and other recommended tests.

The Outcome

We worked hard with AgEtal to design a fit-for-purpose website with a user friendly and hassle-free analysis form. AgEtal has seen an increase in customer enquiries via their new website. The online analysis form has been easy for existing customers to migrate to, allowing a much easier way for requesting their seed and grain tests to be completed.

The Challenge

Quick & Cool is a family owned refrigerated couriers service. They specialise in the delivery of temperature sensitive food products to businesses within the South East Queensland region. The courier drivers pride themselves on being the ‘face’ of their clients and strive for excellent customer services. The new website was to have a sleek, clean design that represents the company values and be geared towards generating enquiries.

Irish Club Hotel

The Challenge

‘The Irish’ is a longstanding icon in Toowoomba, known as one of the friendliest pubs in town to meet and have a drink and a bite with friends. The problem was that, while the locals knew to go there for a pint, they didn’t always know that the Irish offers so much more than meets the eye. The team wanted to increase awareness and enquiries for their functions business. Parties, weddings and corporate events are all catered for in the pub’s various function spaces and it was time to get the word out. What’s more, The Irish is home to a thriving gig scene, bringing a great range of bands to their stage, but needed a way to spread the word easily to music lovers in the city.

Why They Chose Us

Well, for starters, we’re always up for a Guinness! But, more than that, our combination of in-house specialists, including website designers, graphic designers and digital marketing gurus, could provide a ‘one stop shop’ for our favourite pub. We all put our collective heads together to come up with a website that did everything the Irish Club wanted, and more.

The Solution

Function Spaces

To start with, we put the Irish Club’s functions spaces front and centre on their new website. With prominent ‘Book Now’ buttons on the homepage, a dedicated ‘Function’ section which showcases each room and links to a separate page for each function space, it is now very easy for website visitors to book the perfect room for their event. We designed fun icons that summarise each room’s features, meaning less reading for the busy party planner and, what’s more, we put a link to the pub’s delicious function menu on each page. Venue, food, drinks….tick! Only thing left to do is send the invites!

Gig Guide

The Irish Club already had their social media marketing mastered with thousands of thirsty music lovers following their pages. What they needed was a way to link their Facebook posts directly to gig information to get the word out about individual events. So, we designed a special gig module to sit within their website. Now each gig has its own listing making it very shareable on social media and Google search engine friendly. Plus, we integrated the Irish Club’s Facebook page into a What’s On page so web visitors can easily see what’s on and when as well as connecting to the event through their own Facebook page.

The Outcome

The functions business at The Irish has snowballed. So much so that they had to employ a full-time events coordinator to manage it! That’s a lot of parties! Sharing gig info has become so much easier and more successful for the team and, as a welcome bonus, because we integrated the mouthwatering menu into the website instead of linking to a pdf as had been done in the past, the menu page has become one of the top visited pages on the website. Now, should we have a yummy pizza or the Beef and Guinness pie for lunch? Meet you at The Irish!

Prestige Pest Control

The Challenge

Based in the metropolitan suburbs of Brisbane, the new owners of 35-year-old business, Prestige Pest Control, had inherited a tired and out-of-date website. New kids on the block, they wanted to do some clever marketing to get their name and brand ‘out there’. Problem is, traditional marketing methods such as radio and TV ads are very expensive in downtown Brisvegas and out of the question for a small business like Prestige. They knew they had to tap into the powers of digital marketing….and that’s where we come in.

Why They Chose Us

Well, apart from the fact that we share a mutual disgust of cockroaches, we are also digital marketing experts with a team of copywriters, content creators and social media whizzes that, working with our in-house website designers, could make sure we created a website that helped Prestige top Google’s SEO rankings every single time. Let’s just say, we were super keen to help Prestige Pest Control in their quest to rid the world of creepy crawlies!

The Solution

 

The thing about pests is that they prefer to raise their ugly heads at specific times of year, meaning that Prestige Pest Control was likely to undertake seasonal promotion of their business – termites in summers, rats and mice in winter. Cockroaches all year round – yuck! 

With the company’s particular needs in mind, we designed a website that had unique landing pages, each representing their different services. High performing and modern landing pages with clear, ad-like banners, gave Prestige specific URLs to link to their Social Media and Google Adwords campaigns, meaning a higher Google quality score and better SEO results. The banners on the landing pages reflect the offer in the ad and, of course, contain a prominently positioned ‘Book Now’ button. There’s no messing about for the wannabe termite destroyer on this website….one click and Prestige Pest Control will be there to save the day! 

And, ok, we couldn’t help ourselves. Just for fun we added a ‘Spray the Bug’ game on the home page. Catch those nasty cockroaches if you can! But even if you can’t, you won’t forget this website. And of course, when it came to designing the perfect digital marketing campaign to get those click-throughs to the new website, we were the guys in the know too.

The Outcome

Prestige Pest Control have a brand new, modern and fit-for-purpose website with cleverly designed landing pages intended to optimise their digital marketing campaign. No longer do they have to spend thousands of dollars on expensive TV campaigns, their digital campaign, clicking through to their specialised, targeted and optimised website does the job for a fraction of the cost. Bye bye cockies!

Formidable Forklifts

The Challenge

If you want a new or second hand forklift, you shouldn’t fork around with anybody other than Formidable Forklifts! Based in Melbourne, the company uses a specialised database designed specifically for dealers of commercial vehicles, called Fastrack Dealer Net. The problem was that Formidable’s old website wasn’t integrating with or downloading from the database as well as it should, resulting in a messy and out-of-date site which was difficult for forklift buyers to navigate. What’s more, while Formidable sells its forklifts all over Australia, the website made it seem like they only operated in Victoria. Not so formidable!

Why They Chose Us

We are also formidable. Especially when it comes to web design and digital marketing. With experts in both sitting right here in the office, we knew we could design a formidable solution for the company.  Plus, we are experts in the database application that Formidable Forklift uses – Fastrack Dealer Net – because we were the ones that designed it in the first place. It was a match made in heaven.

The Solution

To start with we designed a new website for Formidable Forklifts that properly integrates to their database. Now, when you search for a forklift, the search results not only look good, they also pull up the appropriate information you’re likely to need as a discerning forklift buyer. Once you have found the forklift of your dreams you can easily get in touch to find out more or even arrange finance to buy it.

The next mission was to help Formidable Forklifts increase their market around Australia. To do this we created a landing page for each area they service including Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Darwin and Hobart. Doing this helped to show Google  and website visitors that Formidable Forklifts was not only formidable in Melbourne. We link Google Adwords to the specific landing page for the area we’re targeting and, voila, the search engine ranking skyrockets and people searching for a forklift in Brisbane are directed straight to our formidable friends. 

The Outcome

We worked hard with Formidable Forklifts to design a Google adwords campaign that would work spectacularly with the new website. Five months after the website launch the combination of the digital campaign and the easy-to-navigate website saw Formidable Forklifts have their best month ever and almost run out of forklifts to sell. Now that’s formidable!

Phil Currey - UQ School of Agriculture

The Challenge

Dr Phil Currey is a UQ academic who works with his team of super smart UQ students within his Agribusiness Research Group.  Dr Phil and his teams of wonder students work with agribusinesses to research opportunities which ultimately aim to increase profits, optimise strategic and competitive positions and empower employees. Go Dr Phil! He wanted a website that clearly explains what his group can do in an easy to read, accessible way, increasing awareness and interest in their services. Dr Phil is also a wizz on social media so he wanted to make sure his website would showcase his social media platforms in a way that would help people connect with him in real time.

Why They Chose Us

Dr Phil is a really really smart guy. And he knows other smart guys when he sees them. He loved that we had the smarts to make his wonder students’ work accessible and to help him spread the word of what they could do by tapping into his clever use of social media. ‘Cause we may not know much about selling beef to China, but we sure know an awful lot about digital marketing. We’re pretty smart that way.

The Solution

We designed a website that lays out Dr Phil’s information in a way that showcases his genius teams’ past research projects. We set it up so you can get the gist of each project pretty quickly through bullet points, but if you want to, you can easily read on to really understand the information students have gleaned through their brainy brains. Plus, we popped Dr Phil’s Facebook and Twitter feeds on the home page so you can see what he and his talented students have been up to in real time and connect with them through social media.

The Outcome

Smart people who need other smart people to find out stuff using smart research can find Dr Phil and his teams of smart researchers at a click of a button, easily see what smart stuff they’ve done before and connect with them in real time. Gosh that’s smart.

MB Motors

The Challenge

Mercedes Benz repair specialists, MB Motors, have been in the business for 30 years. They know ‘mercs….and ‘merc owners know them so, until now, they’ve had little need to promote their business, existing mainly on word of mouth from happy customers.  But it was time to recharge their promotional efforts with a bit of extra ‘va va voom’.

The Solution

 

We created a website that would link with a new social media campaign, effortlessly complementing MB’s Facebook ads and providing a place for Mercedes Benz owners to send enquires through an online form, or even call direct from the linked number on the mobile responsive site. The website didn’t need to be complicated – it’s just a one-pager – but the smart menu makes you feel like you’re driving a much larger model.

MB Motors is a very happy customer and, for local Mercedes owners, it’s much easier to find the experts to look after their pride and joy.

Resolute Rubbish Removal

The Challenge

Resolute Rubbish Removal is a brand-new business just starting out. They didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a complicated website, but still wanted to have a digital presence and get the word out about what they do best.

Why They Chose Us

These guys deal in rubbish everyday – they didn’t need a rubbish website too! They knew we’d be able to design a website landing page within their budget and help them with a digital marketing campaign to beat.

The Solution

We designed a wiz bang landing page that acts like a much larger website, with a smart menu that scrolls to specific sections and clear call to action buttons in key places. Not only that, we added a ‘jotform’ quote request form through which customers can send through a photo of their rubbish, allowing Resolute Rubbish Removal to provide an accurate quote for the job.

Rubbish be gone! This landing page does the trick by saying everything that needs to be said and allowing customers to get in touch effortlessly, allowing Resolute Rubbish Removal to get on with dealing with your mess!

Nice Rack Biz

The Challenge

Ute racks are a new product for this business which normally specialises in selling 6-wheeler utes. They wanted a platform for testing their product online without spending big dollars on a la-di-da e-commerce website.

The Solution

 

Our solution was to build a simple landing page which would be separate from the company’s 6-wheeler business and showcase the their new product beautifully without costing a lot. The landing page allows the company to judge demand for their ute racks, and begin to sell direct to their customers, before they fork out for a more sophisticated e-commerce website.

The Outcome

These nice racks now have their own space to shine and the company is able to focus on developing their new market without worrying about their website.

Stonestreets Travel

The Challenge

Established Toowoomba-based business, Stonestreets, has been going the extra mile since 1993. With a modern fleet of 150 coaches, they service schools and charter needs throughout the region. While this is a large part of their successful business, Stonestreets also has another string to its bow – a travel agency that can get you anywhere from down the street to Timbuctoo. Problem was that their getaway and holiday options were hidden deep within their existing website and needed to be given their own special place to shine.

Why They Chose Us

Stonestreets knew our reputation for thinking outside the square and knew we would come up with a solution that ticked all their needs. Plus, our in-house graphic designers were the perfect people to really showcase the beauty and diversity of their holiday locations using stunning imagery and a crafted user experience.

Besides being able to take bookings for tours online Stonestreets needed a back end manifest solution to help them manage their tours. Stonestreets understood that Clevvi also had the technical ability to handle these variations and integrations.

The Solution

Both sides of Stonestreet’s business are equally as successful and important as each other, and each deserve to sit in the spotlight. However, each cater to very different markets and needs. To make sure both the charter business and the travel business reach the right people we designed a landing page that invites the visitor to choose which they are most interested in. Choose ‘Charter’ and they are taken to the charter website aimed towards businesses, schools and community and sporting groups who need to hire a coach or two. Chose ‘Travel’ and they are taken to a separate site boasting stunning images of their next adventure. The clever website then remembers their choice for next time. Of course, visitors can always jump between the two if they need to using links in the header. Setting the stage to help Stonestreet’s travel products shine in this way allowed us to customise each page and craft a journey for the user through the evocative photos of its beautiful holiday locations and experiences.

The Outcome

So many clickable images and a customised, easy-to-navigate site couldn’t help but lead to a higher conversion rate for Stonestreets. Website visitors are able to easily discover the company’s travel agency without the charter side of the business suffering. It’s a win win! Give Me a Break

The Challenge

Established Toowoomba-based business, Stonestreets, has been going the extra mile since 1993. Being a solidified Travel Agency they decided to take it even further by developing a new brand and product that was designed for travellers who want to satisfy their wanderlust with an unforgettable and personalised mystery break. Being a new product, the new website needed to be able to quickly tell the visitor how the service works, make it easy for visitors to complete a survey and either book a break online and submit the survey

Why They Chose Us

Stonestreets has been working with us for years and know we have a reputation for thinking outside the box. They knew we would come up with new branding that capture the essence of the mystery break clientele. Not only could we build a brand new, contemporary website in house but we could continue to work with them to launch the new business through Digital Marketing.

The Solution

We created an infographic to provide a fun way of explaining how the mystery package works. Customers are taken through an interactive journey about what to expect in the lead up the their mystery break. We also included an interactive survey that would gather the interests and preferences of customers. The experience during the process of booking the mystery getaway is fun and engaging which resonates with the target audience. Customers have the option of booking the getaway straight after the survey or submitting their results so they can speak to Give Me a Break representative about it further.

The Outcome
