Segment your email list
The power of segmenting is really useful. You have the power to send emails to people that are more inclined to open them by segmenting client lists into relevant interests.
Segmenting can often reduce the price of email marketing! If a subscriber is segmented in multi-segments within a list they’re only going to be counted once. If you have multiple lists and you have a subscriber who is in them all, it is going to count as many times as they appear in all the lists. As EMS costs are usually based on the number of subscribers, this often pushes up the price of how much you pay for your EMS.
Concise Email Content
You do not want your email to be too long, otherwise, people will disengage halfway through. If your email is referring to a blog or something on your website we recommend only have a ‘sneak peek’ with a few sentences and a call to action button saying ‘read more’ driving people to your website.
Send yourself lots of tests and proofread!
Send a test to yourself so you can check all the links and proofread the content. Once you are happy with it we recommend sending the email to another person in your office. A new set of eyes will see things you have missed and it is a great way to check the email on multiple devices.
Set and forget...
Schedule your email to send at peak times to increase viewers! You can schedule multiple emails at a time meaning you can plan ahead with your email marketing. This is great for busy people who forget about keeping in touch with their clients.
